It is already known that several YSR Congress leaders are facing legal consequences for their antisocial activities during Jagan’s tenure as Chief Minister. Many of them are already in jail, while others are on the brink of facing strict action.
Coming to the point, today turned out to be a mixed day for the YSR Congress ecosystem as they received both good and bad news within just a few hours.
Firstly, YCP senior leader Kakani Govardhan Reddy, who faces multiple illegal mining allegations, has finally received bail. The court granted bail in the eighth and final case filed against him, and he is likely to walk out of prison tomorrow. Kakani, a close associate of Jagan, was jailed recently.
On the other hand, YCP faced a setback as the court rejected the bail plea of Midhun Reddy, who is accused in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam.
The court dismissed bail petitions not only for Midhun Reddy but also for several others arrested in the same case. With this, Midhun will have to remain in jail for a longer period.
Overall, it has been a sweet and bitter day for YSR Congress, with one senior leader securing bail while another important leader, Midhun Reddy, saw his bail plea turned down.
