With the Telugu film industry on the brink of a full-scale shutdown due to ongoing wage disputes and concerns over working conditions, it was none other than Megastar Chiranjeevi who stepped in to calm the storm.
The dispute had been simmering for 15 days. With the Federation and the workers’ union locked in a stalemate, all eyes turned to Chiranjeevi. Today, the megastar hosted a crucial meeting at his residence, where he met with representatives from 24 different film crafts.
Over two hours of discussion, Chiranjeevi listened, not just as a celebrity or an elder statesman, but as someone who truly understands the pressures and realities of the craft. He took time to hear every concern, asked thoughtful questions, and expressed concern over the growing disconnect between leadership and the workforce. He emphasized one key point, a thriving film industry is only possible when its workers are treated with dignity and respect.
Chiranjeevi is planning to meet again soon with producers and the workers’ union to work towards resolving the issue. It is indeed reassuring to have a stalwart like him leading the way during critical times.
