Fake War: YCP Terrorising TDP! Fight Back Needed!

One of the key strategies used by YSR Congress before the 2019 elections was spreading false narratives through media and social platforms. After their defeat in the 2024 elections, they are once again using the same playbook and attempting to terrorise the NDA government with fake propaganda.

Take for example the Amaravati flooding narrative. YCP-linked social media handles circulated fake videos claiming that Amaravati was flooded with rainwater and was unfit to be a world-class capital. These posts were widely shared to create fear and confusion. The government later had to release the original footage proving that Amaravati was safe and that the flooding narrative was completely fake.

Similarly, during the Pulivendula ZPTC elections, fabricated videos from Bengal elections were shared as if large-scale rigging had taken place in Andhra Pradesh. Once again, the government had to bring out the real videos to expose the lies.

Another example is the Prakasam Barrage issue. While 69 out of 70 gates are working perfectly, YCP social media pages are spreading false claims that the barrage is faulty and that Vijayawada is at risk of submergence.

All these examples show a clear pattern. YSR Congress social media ecosystem is pushing fabricated stories to mislead the public and damage the credibility of the government.

Supporters of the NDA alliance have been demanding legal action against such false campaigns. Unless strong measures are taken, the same misinformation tactics that helped YCP in 2019 may repeat again.

It now depends on how quickly the cyber wing and the home department of Andhra Pradesh respond. Any delay or weak response can have serious consequences, as YCP is already proven to be a master in this kind of propaganda warfare.
