Where Is Jagan? YSRCP Leaders Left Guessing

In politics, certain doubts should never arise, but that is exactly what is troubling the YCP today. Many of its leaders are unsure whether Jagan Mohan Reddy is in Andhra Pradesh or staying in Bengaluru. Even after one and a half years since the elections, this confusion within the party itself clearly shows the state of affairs. The reason behind this situation is Jagan’s decision to stay away from active public life and remain indoors.

Some YSRCP leaders recently wanted to meet Jagan to discuss organizational activities. They feel that remaining silent is only increasing public anger against the party. They even prepared a few political programs to take to the people and wanted Jagan’s approval and suggestions. But the problem is that even they are not sure of Jagan’s whereabouts. They admit they don’t know when he is in Andhra Pradesh and when he leaves for Bengaluru. With no clear information, some leaders have started calling the Tadepalli office. Strangely, even there, they are not getting proper answers and only hear evasive replies like “Why do you need to know?”, which is leaving them frustrated.

Going by Jagan’s recent approach, it is clear he has no plans of stepping into public life anytime soon. He occasionally interacts with the media from his home office but that too only once in a while. Most of his statements now come through social media, and even then, people are not sure if he is speaking from AP or Bengaluru. Senior party members are openly saying that Jagan’s words are not reaching the public effectively. Because of this, many YSRCP leaders have now decided to start their own public campaigns in their constituencies after the Vinayaka Chavithi festival instead of waiting for Jagan’s direction.
