Jana Sena is still a young party in Telugu politics, but it has made one thing very clear – discipline comes first. No matter if the person is a senior leader or a small worker, anyone who breaks the party rules will face action.
In the past, the party has suspended several members for such behavior. The latest case involves Karri Mahesh, a local activist from Machilipatnam.
On Sunday night, Mahesh allegedly stopped a home guard who was on duty and even attacked him. The entire incident was caught on video, which quickly went viral the next morning.
Soon after, Bandi Ramakrishna, Jana Sena’s coordinator for Machilipatnam, informed the party leadership. The high command immediately gave instructions: “Suspend him.” Acting on these orders, Ramakrishna announced Mahesh’s suspension from the party.
Speaking to reporters, Ramakrishna said that while a full inquiry has not yet been done, the video and the home guard’s statement were strong enough to take quick action.
He also explained that party chief Pawan Kalyan never tolerates actions that harm the party’s image. Earlier too, in incidents at Tirupati and Rajahmundry, Pawan Kalyan personally ordered suspensions of those involved.
“These tough steps are important,” Ramakrishna said. “They show that Jana Sena stands for honesty and discipline in politics.”
