Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan reacted to the recent allegations made by Sugali Preethi’s mother, who accused him of not acting on her daughter’s case.
Pawan reminded that he had fought for justice in 2021 when no one else spoke up, mobilizing people and pushing the case to the CBI. He said his struggle helped the family get land, a house site and government jobs.
Now, as Deputy CM, Pawan said he has already spoken to the DGP, CID and Home Minister for a fresh inquiry. He revealed concerns of tampered evidence and promised an unbiased probe.
He stressed that justice should not depend on caste or politics and warned against shielding criminals. Calling on his party leaders to raise the issue strongly in the Assembly, Pawan said protecting women and children must be the priority.
Pawan ended by saying it is easy to criticize from outside but tougher to act in power. He assured that his government will pursue justice while staying sensitive to the victim’s family.
