Fact Check: Did DCM Pawan Hold Vijay’s TVK Flag?

Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan’s simple gesture showcasing solidarity with the Kannada brethren during the Senatho Senani event in Vizag has led to a flurry of fake posts on social media. During the event, Pawan raised the Karnataka state flag along with the Jana Sena party flag.

Thousands of netizens spread misinformation with a fake narrative of Pawan holding Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay’s TVK party flag. Pawan’s symbolic gesture of advocating brotherhood has been twisted by the sympathisers of the opposition party.

Both Pawan Kalyan and Thalapathy Vijay belong to two different ideologies. In fact, during the recent TVK meeting in Madurai, Vijay had said that BJP will be TVK party’s ideological opponent.

It’s silly to even claim that Pawan, who is in the NDA alliance led by the BJP, would hold an opponent party’s flag. Incidentally, at the very meeting yesterday, Pawan Kalyan prophesied that Jana Sena will soon become a national party.
