Andhra Pradesh IT Minister, Nara Lokesh is having a very busy time in Delhi as he is not just looking after his party affairs at the national capital, but also representing the NDA alliance(AP) in front of the national media.
Lokesh took part in a national media conclave, and he was asked the tough question about the “Vote Chori” which was coined by Rahul Gandhi, who says the election commission has been manipulating the voter list to favour BJP.
When asked to express his views on this sensitive matter, Lokesh affirmatively said “There’s no such thing as vote Chori. Did Congress realise the importance of voters list just today? Then why all the fuss”.
Lokesh pointed out that the Telugu Desam party had been taking great care of the voter list, right from its inception and pays top priority to the same. “We have made it a habit to collect the entire electoral roll and assess the voter age groups and analyse the various segregations of votes that have been deleted. Our party mechanism is so robust that we do it much before the election.”
At the same time, Lokesh pointed out that the TDP had its opinions on this matter in the past but confidently said there’s no manipulation of voters list at this point in time.
While Rahul Gandhi has been making an issue out of it at the center, Jagan had also been repeatedly pointing out the same in the state. But Lokesh has clearly opined that there is no truth in these narratives and theories. He even had a satiric statement on opposition for being sore losers and blaming EC and voters list for the same.
