Tamil Nadu politics are preparing for what appears to be one of the most intense electoral battles in the form of the upcoming assembly election in 2026. This election is going to be watched with that much more intensity as Thalapathy Vijay is debuting with his party TVK in this collection.
However, there have been several discussions about the possible alliance between Vijay’s party TVK and the BJP. It was speculate that there is a chance that Vijay might find an alliance with the NDA and contest the upcoming assembly election together.
However, Vijay himself has been hinting against the same by occasionally breathing fire on BJP on several issues. But the interesting point here is that BJP never really picked a fight with Vijay as they appeared to keep the doors open.
Incidentally, the latest statement from former BJP president of Tamil Nadu, Annamalai is hinting that it is very tough to find a potential alliance between Vijay and NDA in Tamil Nadu.
“I think Vijay is very clear on the kind of politics he wants to follow. He wants to keep the BJP as an ideological enemy. It is a set template, and Vijay is following the set template. So when you have taken this stance continuously over 5-6 months, so I don’t see the possibility of a gelling happen.” Annamalai said.
The fact that Annamalai hints that there’s no possibility of the alliance between Thalapathy and NDA comes from the ideological differences between the two parties. With roughly 6 months to go for the election, it has to be seen how the alliance situation would enforce henceforth.
