The long awaited local body election schedule for Telangana has finally been released. The state election commission has communicated the crucial dates regarding the local body election and here is a look into the same.
The election code will be coming to effect from October 9 and the MPTC, ZPTC elections will be held in the first phase. These two crucial elections will be scheduled for October 23, and 27 respectively.
This will be closely followed by the Sarpanch election on October 31, November 4, and 8 in a total of 3 phases.
This is going to be a crucial election for all the leading parties in Telangana, including the ruling Congress, Opposition BRS and BJP.
Congress will look to reinstate their dominant in the state by dominating performance in the local body elections, which would cement Revanth Reddy’s mark further. On the other hand, BRS and BJP could be looking to destabilise the government with a strong performance of their own.
What is for certain is that the election fever is going to return to the Telugu political circles as the Telangana local elections will be watched with close attention.
