YCP’s Alleged Conspiracy on Google Data Center Exposed

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu has been working relentlessly to balance both development and welfare in his current tenure. Besides prioritising works relating to building the ambitious capital city of Amaravati, Naidu is also making sure that development is not concentrated in a single region but spread across the state. In this process, he is pitching Vishakapatnam as the next IT hub of South India.

Soon after coming to power, Chandrababu projected Vizag as the soon-to-be favourite destination for IT companies. IT Minister Nara Lokesh is also leaving no stone unturned to realise the dreams of Naidu in shaping up Vizag as the tech city of Andhra Pradesh in coming years. Already, technology giants like Cognizant, TCS, Accenture and Google have inked MoUs to set up their offices in Vizag. If all these plans materialise, Vizag will gain prominence akin to that of other leading IT cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Unfortunately, YSR Congress party is trying its best to thwart Naidu’s plans with its conspiracy over Google Data Center in Vizag. It is well known that Google is going to develop a 1 GW data center with an estimated investment of $6 billion in the port city. Both Naidu and Lokesh have formally announced this big news a few days ago and efforts in that direction are currently on. At present, the government is looking for considerable area of land in Vizag for allotment to the company. Meanwhile, YSRCP started conspiring to foil the plans.

Chandrababu slammed YSRCP over the alleged conspiracy to stop establishment of Google center in Vizag by filing wrong cases in court with a malafide intention. During his visit to Vizag on Wednesday, local leaders of NDA complained to Naidu on how YSRCP is creating hurdles by filing cases on behalf of farmers without their knowledge. Naidu directed officials to take stern action against those who are behind this conspiracy and also informed them to complete the process of land acquisition as soon as possible.

Earlier this year, Naidu during his Singapore trip revealed how YSR Congress sent several mails to companies to backtrack from investing in Andhra Pradesh. Now, he once again exposed their conspiracy to stop Google Data Center from coming to Vizag.
