The Telugu states’ politics have been rather stagnant in recent times, with opposition leaders Jagan and KCR staying away from the public eye. Neither of them has been actively engaging in their opposition roles, making the political scene almost entirely favorable to the ruling parties.
But for a change, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana politics are heating up again today, with significant activity surrounding the opposition parties.
In Andhra Pradesh, it’s YS Jagan who is finally stepping out after a long break, as he visits the Narsipatnam Medical College. He is expected to launch a verbal attack on the NDA government regarding the ongoing issue over medical colleges.
While Jagan is taking credit for establishing these colleges, the ruling government is countering his claims with data, saying his contribution was minimal. Jagan’s remarks during the visit are expected to be sharp and could draw attention statewide.
Meanwhile, Telangana politics are equally active today, with the BRS launching its “Chalo Bus Bhavan” protest. Led by KTR, the party is demonstrating against the recent hike in ticket prices by the Telangana RTC.
With both opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana back in action on the same day, it’s turning out to be a politically charged one for the Telugu states, as the opposition finally finds its voice again.
