Former CM Jagan toured Narsipatnam today to visit the government medical college here. This is one of his major public appearances in a while, and had already ordered his party workers to make grand preparations for the same.
While YCP is trying to create a positive atmosphere for this Jagan visit, the ground reality is proving to be different. In fact, there is a lot of public protest against this visit from Jagan.
In several mainstream spots in Narsipatnam, the public took to the streets. Dalit communities came on road to protests against Jagan over the inhuman humiliation of Dr Sudhakar who was humiliated to death during the Jagan regime.
The Dalit community representatives are saying that Jagan brutally killed Dr Sudhakar just for asking a face mask. They are calling the former chief minister to apologise to the family members of Sudhakar immediately.
Subsequently, the main pockets of Narsipatnam are burning up with “Go Back” Jagan slogans all over. There is a lot of public backlash on this matter and Jagan is having to face the brunt of the backlash.
Jagan planned this event in such a way that it would refuel his political activate after a year and half period of hibernation. But more than the political activity, these backlash protests are far overruling Jagan’s trip today.
