It is already known that the new GST taxation and slab policy came to effect reverently. Notably, Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu has been a firm supporter of this new GST policy and the positive results are starting to show already.
On that note, the latest development are suggesting that Andhra Pradesh public could be saving heavily due to the new GST regime that is in effect.
It is established that maintenance percent of the essential commodities and emergency supplies have come under the 0-5% tax slab. On top of that, 470 products that are frequently used in Andhra Pradesh are directly reclined due to the new tax policy.
To put that into perspective, it is statistically established that a middle class family could be saving anywhere in the range of 20-25% on monthly commodity expenditure due to the reduced taxation.
This is perhaps the primary reason why Chandrababu was always encouraging of this GST 2.0 proposition. He was one of the first prominent politicians to encourage the new taxation policy in the first place and it is starting to show positive effects on Andhra Pradesh public already.
