AP, The Powerhouse Driving India’s Growth, Says Modi

During his visit to Kurnool, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear that Andhra Pradesh holds a decisive role in shaping India’s development story. Addressing a massive public gathering as part of the “Super GST – Super Savings” event, Modi laid the foundation and inaugurated projects worth over ₹13,429 crore across the state.

The Prime Minister stated that Andhra Pradesh’s progress is deeply tied to the nation’s growth, and the rise of Rayalaseema, in particular, will play a crucial part in this transformation. He mentioned how the newly launched infrastructure projects will boost opportunities and push the region onto a fast growth track.

Modi described Andhra Pradesh as a proud symbol of self-respect, culture, science, and innovation. He praised the youth of the state, saying they possess limitless potential to seize the opportunities that lie ahead. Recalling his visit to the Srisailam temple earlier in the day, Modi said he sought divine blessings for the state’s continued prosperity.

Speaking about leadership, Modi lauded CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, calling them a “dynamic duo steering Andhra Pradesh toward a bright future.” He assured the gathering that the Centre would stand shoulder to shoulder with the state government in every development effort.

The Prime Minister said that under the double-engine government model, Andhra Pradesh has been on a remarkable upward path over the past 16 months. “On one side, Delhi is moving ahead; on the other, Amaravati is racing toward progress,” he remarked with pride.

Modi also spoke about the Centre’s GST reform, noting that most goods and services that once carried a 28 percent tax now fall under 18 percent or 5 percent slabs, easing the burden on the poor and middle class. This move, he said, has brought massive festive savings to millions of Indian families during Dussehra and Diwali.

Reiterating his long-term vision, Modi concluded, “By 2047, we aim to achieve a Viksit Bharat—a developed India. The 21st century belongs to 1.4 billion Indians, and Andhra Pradesh will be one of its strongest pillars.”
