Internal rifts are apart and parcel of every political party, and TDP is no exception to the same. But there is a fine line that MLAs and MPs must not cross and the same applies to the current situation within the TDP ecosystem in Krishna district.
Over the last few days, there has been verbal war brewing between MLA Kolikapudi Srinivas and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Chinni. This has now reached a point where the Tiruvur MLA Srinivas has posted a controversial WhatsApp status.
According to the latest reports, MLA Srinivas had posted the pictures of a bank transaction statement on his WhatsApp status. He reportedly claims that these are the financial proofs of the money that he paid to Kesineni Chinni for getting Thirivur MLA ticket.
Reacting to this matter, Kesineni Chinni said Srinivas referred to him as a god until recently but has taken a deterring turn now. “I don’t have the habit of moving closely with YCP men like some other TDP leaders. Anyone who crosses the party line is my enemy. Perhaps Srinivas must answer why he took a U-turn on me and is posting such stuff now.”
On one hand, the NDA government and chief minister Chandrababu are working tirelessly to resurrect Andhra Pradesh and are running after investments to achieve the same. It must also be noted that the chief minister had been repeatedly calling on his MLAs and MPs to exercise caution while dealing with sensitive issues.
Now, considering the gravity of this growing brawl between the MLA and MP, the TDP leadership is bound to get involved very soon. Reportedly the party, president Palla Srinivasa Rao is scheduled to meet with these two leaders at the TDP Vijayawada office tomorrow. Perhaps the two of them will find closure there.
