As we had sadly reported earlier in the day today, a private bus travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru caught on fire and shockingly 20 people were killed in this fateful incident.
After this gruesome accident, the officials have started digging deep and they have established some shocking set of facts. Officials said the vehicle had been a frequent traffic violator, with 16 challans recorded in Telangana alone, amounting to ₹23,000 in unpaid fines.
This particular bus had multiple challans for over speeding and wrong entry in the city permits. There are even complaints of dangerous driving and also wrong route driving.
Telangana transport department has taken up the issue very seriously and called for a detailed investigation on the facts regarding the same.
The Prime Minister’s Office reacted on this incident and communicated that an exgratia of ₹2,00,000 will be provided to the deceased and another 50,000 will be provided to the injured.
