One of the most tragic incidents in South Indian politics unfolded in Karur when Tirupati Vijay held a large public rally. A major stampede occurred at the venue, resulting in the unfortunate loss of 41 lives.
About a month after the incident, Thalapathy Vijay has reportedly scheduled a personal and private meeting with the families of the victims.
According to reports, Vijay will meet them at a private resort in Mahabalipuram, for which he has booked 50 rooms to accommodate the families. He has also arranged bus transportation for them, and the families have confirmed this to the media.
The case is still ongoing in court, with a CBI investigation currently underway as part of the legal proceedings.
Vijay had earlier announced a financial compensation of ₹20 lakh per affected family and is expected to disburse the amount soon.
