Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has clearly communicated his vision to develop the state into a hub for EV manufacturing and renewable energy production. He is now walking the talk by bringing several renewable energy companies to Andhra Pradesh and creating a hospitable environment for investment.
In this context, Chandrababu has successfully brought the renowned Hinduja Group to Andhra Pradesh, with an MoU signed today for the establishment of multiple projects.
The MoU between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Hinduja Group, earmarking a cumulative investment of ₹20,000 crores, is expected to accelerate the state’s industrial and clean energy growth.
This mega deal confirms the development of four major projects in Andhra Pradesh:
Power Expansion (Visakhapatnam): Expansion of the existing 1,050 MW HNPCL plant by an additional 1,600 MW (2×800 MW) to ensure reliable power for industries.
Renewable Energy (Rayalaseema): Development of large-scale solar and wind projects to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s clean energy capacity.
EV Manufacturing (Mallavalli, Krishna): Establishment of a state-of-the-art electric bus and light-vehicle manufacturing plant to boost sustainable mobility.
Additionally, the Hinduja Group will develop EV charging facilities across the state, enhancing Andhra Pradesh’s EV infrastructure and supporting the growing shift toward green energy and transportation.
