It is an established fact that the social media handles of leading politicians in India are largely outsourced to external PR companies who run them in a professional manner. Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy is no exception to the same.
However, the recent social media activity of the official Twitter handle of Revanth Reddy has come under the radar now as there are a few complaints against the same.
On the occasion of Revanth Reddy’s birthday yesterday, he was flooded with wishes from celebrities and politicians. This was precisely when he was wished by Junior NTR as well.
While the Twitter handle of Revanth Reddy was very respectful when it came to wishing other veterans like Modi, Chandrababu and others, the reply to Junior NTR was a bit too casual. Reacting to the tweet from NTR, Revanth’s twitter handle replied “Thank You”. There was this no customary “Garu” in the reply.
This casual reply has not gone well with a section of NTR’s fans and they’re making their voices heard.
At the end of the day, it must be kept in mind that NTR and Telugu politics always invite a lot of attention and speculation on social media. So it is better to deal with these topics in a sensitive and thoughtful manner. The better option yesterday would have been for the handlers of Revanth Reddy Twitter page to be more respectful with their replies. Also, even small things like these pile up on social media and lead to unnecessary discussions.
