It is already known that Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister and forestry minister, Pawan Kalyan had been to Chittoor District for the last couple of days. He is getting to interact with the masses on this official trip to the rural pockets and appears to be indulging in the experiences it has to offer.
However, there was a detrimental development yesterday as there were media reports about Pawan Kalyan’s convoy creating a major mishap.
It was extensively reported that the convoy ran over a woman and seriously injured her leg, post which, she was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital. There was even a brief discussion about how Kalyan’s convoy must be faulted for the incident, which was primarily ran by YCP social media groups.
However, the official statement from District collector Sumit Kumar clarifies that there is no credence in these media reports.
According to the public statement issued by the local collector, Kalyan’s convoy did not run over the women’s leg. “There was a massive public turnout upon the DCM’s arrival which led to a gathering. This victim women was caught in the gathering and lost balance before falling down. Her leg got injured in the process and she was admitted to the hospital. It had nothing to do with the convoy running over her.” The collector clarified.
