It is already known that Thalapathy Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay is making his directorial debut under Lyca Productions. This movie features Sundeep Kishan as the lead hero. The film’s first look poster and the title were unveiled today. The makers fixed the title as “Sigma” and the first look poster features Sundeep Kishan sitting on a pile of cash bundles and gold bars, implying a money-related crime thriller.
Sigma is a Gen-Z title which often refers to independent, self-sufficient or extremely confident. In the social media era, people often call confident and macho men as “Sigma Male”. Jason Sanjay, who belongs to Gen-Z, has fixed a catchy title, which appeals to the current-generation youth.
Sundeep Kishan has been going through a rough phase for a long time and is in need of success. Meanwhile, there is a huge anticipation around Jason Sanjay’s debut, too. However, Vijay’s image is beyond Sanjay. Thus, strong content is needed for this film to become a blockbuster, irrespective of the tags attached to it.
This year, we have seen many young debut filmmakers like Abhishan Jeevith (Tourist Family), Rajeshwar Kalisamy (Kudumbasthan), Varsha Bharat (Bad Girl) and Keerthi Swaraj (Dude) scoring hits at the box office with strong content. It remains to be seen if Jason Sanjay also joins the list.
Thaman is composing the music for Sigma. Krisnan Vasant is handling the cinematography. Sigma will have a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil.
