PM Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the deadly car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that killed 12 people and injured twenty others. Speaking from Bhutan’s capital Thimphu during his official visit, the Prime Minister assured the nation that those responsible would face strict action.
Modi said the government would get to the root of the conspiracy behind the explosion and ensure that no culprit escapes justice. “Our agencies will get to the bottom of this conspiracy. The conspirators behind this will not be spared. All those responsible will be brought to justice,” he declared.
He mentioned that he was in constant touch with officials through the night and was monitoring the investigation closely. “Today I come here with a heavy heart. The horrific incident that occurred in Delhi yesterday evening has saddened everyone. I understand the grief of the affected families. The entire nation stands with them,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid ongoing investigations into the powerful blast that ripped through a car near Red Fort on Monday evening. Security agencies are probing possible terror links as several suspects have already been detained.
