Due to certain administrative decisions made by the previous Jagan government in Andhra Pradesh, several leading domestic and global companies withdrew their investment plans from the state. But with the NDA government and a hardworking CM like Chandrababu back at the helm, things are looking very different now.
Incidentally, the companies that were earlier skeptical about Andhra Pradesh are now returning to the state. It is now the turn of a leading renewable energy company ReNew to return to AP after getting scared away by the Jagan government back in 2019.
In this context, IT minister Lokesh has shared an interesting message on social media as he pointed out that ReNew is returning to AP after 2019.
After 5 years out of AP, it is my proud privilege to announce that Renew is placing an all-in investment on the entire renewable energy value chain in #AndhraPradesh. In an investment spanning Rs. 82,000 crores, Renew will be investing in the high technology areas of solar ingot, wafer manufacturing, down to project development and onwards to green hydrogen and molecules, Lokesh announced.
It’s further communicated that this MoU is likely to be signed at the Vizag Summit which is going to be held later this week.
