It appears that Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu and IT Minister, Nara Lokesh were bang on point when they said they aspire to develop Andhra Pradesh as the data hub of India.
Recently, it was the case of Google which finalised the idea of setting up a mega data Centre with a massive budget of Rs 87K crore. And now it is the case of the Reliance company, which is bound to set up a massive data center in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the latest development at the ongoing investor Summit in Vizag, Reliance will set up a 1 GW AI data centre in Andhra Pradesh, powered by a 6 GWp solar project. The company is also blind to build a greenfield integrated food park in Kurnool and multiple compressed biogas hubs.
An MoU was signed with the Andhra Pradesh government at the CII Partnership Summit as projects add to Reliance’s $25 billion existing investment in the state across energy, digital and retail.
Google is already scheduled to set up a massive 1 GW data center in Vizag and now, Reliance is also setting up a 1 GW plant. These two could emerge as the biggest data centres anywhere in India, and this must be a rare accreditation to Andhra Pradesh.
