Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy took a swipe at BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao. He said it would be good if they reduced their arrogance and jealousy respectively. Revanth Reddy made these comments following the Congress’ victory in the Jubilee Hills bypolls.
Reacting to Revanth’s remark, KTR said that the public was observing who is really arrogant. The victory rallies taken out by the Congress are evident that the Congress leaders are arrogant, he said and added that the electorate would teach the Congress a fitting lesson if the Congress continued with its ‘goondaism’.
During the last 10 years, the BRS had won several polls and bypolls but never insulted any of the political parties. The Congress won just one bypoll and the rally following the victory reflected the Congress’ arrogance, KTR affirmed. He alleged that the Congress won the JH bypoll through fake votes, money politics and goondaism. The BRS never resorted to attacks on the opposition parties during its 10-year rule, KTR said.
At the same time, he exuded confidence that the BRS would reclaim the assembly seat by winning it. Last time, the BRS secured 80,000 votes and this time, we got 75,000. Despite the rigging and several other obstacles, it is only a difference of 5,000 votes and this shows, we still have a strong hold on the constituency. KTR said that the minor difference in the votes shows our strength, he added.
