Lokesh Steps Into Babu’s Role in Key Delhi Visit

The Telugu Desam party is increasingly undergoing a transition of power with the next generation leader Nara Lokesh slowly, but surely assuming the reigns. This is becoming increasingly evident if we look at the latest administrative activities.

Incidentally, it has been Lokesh who has been the pioneer of bond building exercises with the center in the recent past. He quickly emerged as favourite for Prime Minister Modi and is also establishing good bonds with BJP’s mother body RSS. 

And now we are witnessing a new peak point as Lokesh got on his way to Delhi last evening and arrived a short there while back.

The interesting thing about this Delhi trip is that there is a lot of administrative and financial activities associated with the same as Lokesh is expected to meet union ministers Amit Shah, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and others. 

Lokesh will be describing the financial burden left by the recent Montha Cyclone. He will be presenting the hard facts and numbers regarding the property loss that Andhra Pradesh had suffered due to the cyclone and will be asking for the centre’s assistance in this regard. 

Generally, this is an administrative duty that is carried out by the chief minister of the state, and it should have been Chandrababu on this job. But considering the growing prominence for Lokesh and his ability to sort things out smoothly at the higher level, he has taken up this duty. 

It must be noted that even chief minister Chandrababu appeared to be impressed with Lokesh when it comes to closing deals with private companies about investing in AP. Publicly appreciated, Lokesh for the same at the recent Summit in Vizag. Now we are witnessing this in live action as Lokesh is being designated for bigger and bigger jobs now.
