The remarks made by Pawan Kalyan during his visit to Konaseema have created a big controversy in Telangana. While interacting with farmers about the damage to coconut plantations, Pawan Kalyan casually said that Konaseema greenery was affected by evil eye of Telangana leaders. This comment quickly went viral and sparked strong reactions.
Several Telangana leaders condemned the statement. Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy demanded a public apology and even warned that Pawan Kalyan films would not be allowed to release in Telangana if he failed to apologise. Congress MLA Anirudh Reddy also criticised the comment and called it irresponsible.
As the backlash grew, Janasena reacted for the first time and clarified what actually happened. The party said Pawan Kalyan was speaking lightly with farmers and his words were twisted on purpose. According to Janasena, he did not target Telangana or its people and had no intention of hurting anyone. They stated that some groups are using the comment to create unnecessary political tension.
Janasena appealed to everyone not to distort Pawan Kalyan statements and said the focus should remain on the real issues faced by Konaseema farmers.
