India’s largest Electronics Manufacturing plant begins work in Naidupeta

Syrma SGS Technology Limited has begun work on what is set to become India’s largest Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing plant in the Naidupeta Industrial Park, Andhra Pradesh. The company, in collaboration with South Korea’s Shinyoung Electronics, is investing in a state-of-the-art facility that marks a major step toward making the state a leading electronics and semiconductor manufacturing hub.

The upcoming unit is designed to produce a full range of PCB products used across consumer electronics, automobiles, industrial systems, and advanced technology devices. Modern electronics depend on PCB manufacturing, and the establishment of this plant positions Andhra Pradesh at the heart of a highly competitive and fast-growing global industry.

The government’s support and the strategic location of Naidupeta, well connected through national highways, railways, airports, and major ports have made the region an attractive destination for large-scale manufacturing. This project alone is expected to generate over 1,000 new jobs, creating opportunities for local youth and supporting the development of skilled manpower in the electronics sector. As the plant expands, indirect employment is expected to rise through logistics, component suppliers, services, and small businesses that benefit from industrial activity.

For AP, the Syrma SGS facility reinforces the state’s push toward high-tech manufacturing under its renewed industrial development agenda. It boosts investor confidence, strengthens the electronics ecosystem, and contributes significantly to regional economic growth. Projects of this scale also help diversify the state economy beyond traditional sectors by anchoring long-term industrial clusters around advanced manufacturing.

By attracting global partnerships and encouraging companies like Syrma SGS to set up transformative infrastructure, the government is signalling its commitment to building Andhra Pradesh into a major technology and electronics powerhouse. The Naidupeta project stands as a strong symbol of this ambition, promising sustained growth for both the region and the state in the years ahead.
