Former chief minister YS Jagan has several contradictory and controversial takes on contemporary issues. This was again on display as his spoke lightly about the recently sensational Parakamani case.
In his Media conference today, Jagan appeared to have a very dismissive and careless approach towards the Parakamani case. He categorised this Parakamani theft case that happened at the holy Tirumala temple during his time as CM as “Small issue.”
“That is a petty case where ₹72,000 worth dollar bills were stolen. The culprit family, then donated ₹14 crore to the temple as a token of regret. Sachin incidents have happened at many temples, but we did not see an act of remorse like the one that happened in the Parakamani case.”
Jagan was of the implication that this controversial incident is not that significant and people did not expect him to be so unbothered about such a major lapse in Tirumala operations during his time as the CM.
At a time when Jagan is already facing the heat for the gross mismanagement of the Tirumala board during his time as the CM, his latest dismissive comment on the Parakamani case are getting slammed on social media. Many people are appalled by the fact that the farmer CM is so very careless about a major lapse in Tirumala.
