Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, the Guntur MP and Union Minister, topped in a performance survey conducted for all 25 MPs from Andhra Pradesh. With a score of 8.9, he secured the number one position. What interested many people is how a first time MP managed to rise to the top so quickly.
Pemmasani entered active politics only during the recent elections after returning from the United States. Parliamentary politics and Andhra Pradesh politics were both new to him. Yet he earned strong public approval within months of taking charge.
Observers say his approach is the main reason behind this rise. He stays away from unnecessary political fights, avoids personal attacks, and chooses to spend more time with people. This calm and focused style helped him build credibility. Being a Union Minister in his very first term also increased public expectations, and he has been trying to meet them sincerely.
Another factor is Amaravati, which falls under the Guntur parliamentary region. Farmers here expect strong representation from their MP, especially during a crucial phase for the capital project. Pemmasani has been meeting local groups regularly and assuring them that their concerns will be taken to the government. This connection with ground level issues helped improve his image even further.
He has also been allocating funds for several development works in Guntur. Roads, flyovers, public facilities, and ongoing infrastructure improvements are some of the key projects he pushed forward. With both central support and MP funds, he ensured that visible work happens in the constituency.
The recent survey results show that people have noticed these efforts. Many believe that his consistent work and clean political approach helped him achieve a score that no other MP could reach. Based on the current sentiment, analysts feel he will remain a strong contender in the next election as well.
