One of the most ambitious and prestigious decisions taken by the Congress government in Telangana under the leadership of Revanth Reddy is to hold the Telangana Rising Summit in the Future city in Hyderabad.
As expected this global investment Summit has started to yield rich rewards to Telangana as investment worth ₹2.4 Lakh crore were reportedly secured on the 1st day of the summit itself.
Reportedly, the Telangana Rising Global Summit delivered big on its opening day, formalizing over 35 major agreements that totalled approximately ₹1.88 Lakh Crore in investment commitments. This record-breaking capital influx, secured across critical, future-ready sectors shows the strong economic index of the state.
Some of the biggest announcements made by leading companies towards their investments in Telangana include:
Trump Media & Technology Group announced massive 1 Lakh Crore investment. The company, associated with U.S. President Donald Trump, has proposed establishing an International Media and Smart Technology Hub in Hyderabad. This mega digital media centre is expected to create thousands of jobs.
Reliance, led by Mukesh Ambani, will set up Vantara, Wildlife Conservation and Animal Welfare Centre in Telangana. This is set to become Asia’s largest initiative in the sector.
Salman Khan Ventures Industries, owned by Bollywood icon Salman Khan, will invest ₹10,000 crore to develop a special township and a world-class Film & Television Studio in the state. The project will also house international-standard entertainment facilities.
Athirat Holdings will establish 25 Compressed Biogas plants across Telangana with an investment of ₹4,000 crore. These eco-friendly energy units will play a key role in green fuel production and enhancing rural employment.
The Apollo Group will invest ₹800 crore to establish an ultra-modern University, Medical Education, and Research Centre in Hyderabad paving the way for a new era in advanced health sciences education.
The cumulative sum of the investments that were agreed upon on the first day of the summit amount to ₹2.4 lakh crore. With today, December 9, being the last day, a bigger number is expected to be established with major companies showing interest in investing in Telangana.
