The resurgence of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh has breathed new life into the Amaravati capital region and things are starting to shape up very well for the capital project. After the recent development, where as many as 25 banks and central financial organisations held foundation ceremonies in Amaravati, now it’s the turn of a major central office to set shop in the capital.
According to the latest communication made by union minister Pemmasani Chandrashekhar, the new CAG office is set to arrive in Amaravati very soon and the principal approval of the same has been completed.
Upon the request of the government of Andhra Pradesh, the Office of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG) has accorded Administrative Sanction for the construction of its new office in Amaravati.
The approval covers the state-of-the-art facility to be built on the 2.05-acre plot already allocated, marking a key milestone in strengthening the administrative backbone of the Amaravati capital city.
While other neighbouring Metropolitan cities have multiple CAG Offices which helps with the administrative duties, Amaravati is now going to get its first centralised office. This could be a major development in connection with the development of the unified capital of Andhra, which is also bound to get the gazette notification in the parliament in the near future.
