If the proposal moves forward as planned, Wonderla will be developed across nearly 50 acres in Visakhapatnam. Officials believe the project will add world class recreational infrastructure to the city and make Vizag a stronger attraction for both domestic and international tourists.
Tourism department officials have indicated that the government has successfully drawn interest from leading theme park operators. The idea is to create high quality leisure destinations that support the state’s broader economic and tourism strategy.
Chief Minister Naidu has stressed that tourism must be treated as a priority sector. He has highlighted the importance of hospitality and entertainment infrastructure in driving long term growth and creating jobs for local youth.
