Pawan’s HANUMAN Gets Into Action!

Recently we have seen a lot of reports on how there has been a rapid rise in Human – Wildlife conflict happening across the country and especially in Andhra, it is on a much larger rise with many cases being reported where the farmers are losing the crops, wildlife attacking the villagers and sometimes animals getting displaced and coming to the people’s area.

To address this growing problem, the Andhra Pradesh government has launched a new and focused initiative backed by Pawan Kalyan called HANUMAN — Healing and Nurturing Units for Monitoring, Aid and Nursing of Wildlife which was announced last month and launched yesterday with an official Government order being passed out. 

The main aim of the HANUMAN initiative is very simple: protect human lives and livelihoods while also conserving wildlife. It focuses on preventing conflicts before they happen, ensuring quick response during emergencies and providing proper relief and compensation when losses occur. The programme also encourages community participation so that people living near forest areas become part of the solution rather than victims of the problem.

Just a month after its announcement in November by Pawan Kalyan, the government has already approved the registration of HANUMAN as a foundation and formed a strong governing body involving senior forest officials, wildlife experts, scientists, veterinarians, police representatives and NGOs. By using technology, data, research and coordination between departments, HANUMAN aims to reduce conflicts, protect farmers’ interests, and ensure ecological balance.

Thanks to the passion and energy of DCM Pawan Kalyan, who holds the Environment, Forests, Science and Technology portfolio, has played a key role in pushing this initiative forward. His open invitation to experts, NGOs and communities to work together has ensured that HANUMAN is not just another simple programme but well organised programme that will also be directly led by Pawan Kalyan and plays a great role in co-ordinating with the other stakeholders. 

It is also important to note that even Pawan Kalyan has been quite serious in getting a lot of things for forest and wildlife protection being a Minister in-charge from building green walls for Mangrove preservation to recently getting  39 crores from Centre for the protection of Red Sandalwood. With HANUMAN, he made another clever move by not just by launching the programme but also giving a God name to the programme and symbolically attaching that nature conservation is and always has been God’s own service.
