Leading politicians are usually very selective and restrictive with the kind of questions that they take from the public. To put that into perspective, previous CM Jagan did not even address the Media in the five year period, let alone interacting with the public directly.
But that is not the case with IT minister Lokesh, as he happily takes questions from the common public without any prior preparation or PR management. He has been continuing this tradition right from the Yuvagalam Yatra and is keeping it going even after coming to power.
Incidentally, Lokesh was taking part in an interactive session with college kids today, and this was when he was asked a very interesting question.
A young student, who got up to ask Lokesh a question labelled himself as Lokesh’s friend and went on to ask the latter about who was his first crush in college. Lokesh was pleasantly amused by this question, and he quickly responded in a witty manner.
“My first, and only crush is the love of my life, and my wife Brahmani. Please don’t put me in an unnecessary soup with such questions.” Lokesh replied as the entire auditorium came down laughing to this witty answer.
The way in which Lokesh acclimated with the college going students and happily interacted with them while taking a bit of a personal question in a positive stride is the kind of youthful leadership that the state needs now, remarked a young social media user.
