Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy strongly criticised former CM KCR for leaving the Telangana Assembly while condolence motions were being read. He said KCR attended the House only for a few minutes and walked out during a solemn moment meant to honour deceased senior members, which he felt was inappropriate.
Komatireddy questioned how a leader who spent decades in the Assembly could leave when tributes were being paid to members who served the House for nearly thirty years. He remarked that even maintaining silence during such moments is a basic responsibility.
The minister also alleged that KCR lacks genuine affection for Telangana activists and claimed that his role in the Telangana movement was overstated. He contrasted his own sacrifices, including injuries and hunger strikes, with KCR’s actions during the agitation period.
Komatireddy says that he would not advise KCR due to his seniority, but hoped such mistakes would not be repeated, as they send the wrong message to the public and the Assembly.
