Even after more than a decade since Telangana was formed, Chandrababu Naidu continues to be dragged into the state’s political conversations. Leaders from BRS, including KCR, KTR, and now Kavitha, often refer to him while making political comments, even though he has no direct role in Telangana politics today.
In her latest interview with an English news channel, Kavitha made a statement that has drawn criticism. She said that some people close to the BRS family feel Harish Rao is being seen as the Chandrababu of Telangana, adding that she is wary of such comparisons.
This remark is being seen as an unnecessary political swipe at Chandrababu Naidu. By linking internal discussions within BRS to the political conflicts faced by Chandrababu in the 1990s, Kavitha indirectly pulled him into a matter that has little relevance or context.
Many political observers feel that comparing the current BRS situation with the old TDP scenario makes little sense. They also believe that provoking the chief minister of a neighbouring state for political messaging is avoidable and does not serve any constructive purpose.
Social media users have been openly questioning Kavitha’s comment, pointing out that Chandrababu has not spoken about her or BRS leaders in recent times. While he has largely maintained political restraint and dignity, he continues to be mentioned in Telangana debates without provocation, which many feel reflects poorly on those making such remarks.
