Naidu Announces Feb for Mittal’s Biggest Steel Plant

The ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel plant planned in Anakapalli district is set to move into the next stage soon. CM Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the foundation stone for the steel plant will be laid after February 15.

The project will be developed with an initial investment of around Rs 60,000 crore. It is expected to be one of the major industrial projects in the region and is aimed at boosting employment and industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh.

During his meeting with ArcelorMittal Executive Chairman Lakshmi Mittal, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress related to approvals and land matters for the plant. He directed officials to complete all pending clearances quickly so that construction work can begin without delays.

Chandrababu Naidu made it clear that the state government will extend full support to the project. He asked officials to ensure fast coordination with the central government if any permissions are required and stressed that there should be no slowdown from the government side.

ArcelorMittal’s leadership welcomed the support from the Andhra Pradesh government and expressed confidence in the project’s smooth execution. The Anakapalli steel plant is expected to play a key role in strengthening the state’s industrial base once it becomes operational.
