AP Stays In Celebration Mode!

After hosting never before Sankranthi celebrations across Andhra Pradesh, the state government is once again set to keep people in a festive mood with the grand Visakha Utsav. The event aims to showcase the cultural richness and natural beauty of North Andhra to the world.

The Visakha Utsav will be held from January 24 to February 1 under the theme “From Sea to Summit”. The celebrations will take place across three major regions of the united Visakhapatnam district including Visakhapatnam city, Anakapalli, and the Araku valley.

More than 500 cultural and tourism related programs will be organised across 20 major venues. The festival will begin in Visakhapatnam and conclude in Anakapalli on February 1. It will highlight everything from coastal tourism to the tribal culture of the agency areas.

The event is also expected to create employment opportunities for nearly 3000 local artists and youth. Beaches will host drone shows, beach sports, flower shows, and Miss Vizag contests, adding to the festive atmosphere.

In regions like Araku and Lambasingi, visitors can enjoy traditional tribal dances and handicraft exhibitions that reflect the rich heritage of the local communities.

With back to back celebrations like Avakai Amaravati, Sankranthi and now Visakha Utsav, the Andhra Pradesh government is clearly focusing on promoting culture, tourism, and local talent, while keeping the public engaged in a continuous festive spirit.
