Interesting: WEF Summit to Come to Hyderabad?

For a long time, now, the common public has been wanting to see the actual results from the WEF summit in Switzerland, which is attended by several chief ministers from India. This time, Telangana chief minister, Revanth Reddy proposed an interesting idea yesterday.

Yesterday, Chief Minister Revanth proposed to host an annual follow-up WEF in the month of July or August. The idea is to facilitate a platform for follow up on the discussions or decisions made during WEF in January, considering that a time gap of one year is quite long in the context of modern business lifecycles of today.

Upon Revanth’s proposal, Telangana offered to join hands with WEF in hosting the follow-up Forum in the capital city of Telangana, Hyderabad. This has now incurred a positive reaction from the WEF wing

“Seeing is believing. We would like to showcase to the world the wonderful opportunities and resources our state can offer. So we are ready to host WEF follow-up meet annually in Hyderabad.” Said a senior representative associated with the WEF.

The WEF team responded very positively to the Chief Minister’s idea, despite similar proposals from several countries. “We shall take this forward in the near future.” WEF MD Jeremy Jurgens mentioned that the ‘Summer Davos’ is being held annually in China, and that there is strong interest from Saudi Arabia. Now, Hyderabad has joined the list, thanks to chief minister Revanth Reddy.

Align with that, Revanth presented the Telangana Rising 2047 vision and the roadmap and strategy being implemented towards reaching the goal of becoming a $3 trillion economy.
