After targeting Harish Rao, Telangana Jagruthi president and former Rajya Sabha MP Kavitha has now launched a scathing attack on senior BRS leader Joginipalli Santosh Rao, just ahead of his appearance before the SIT in the phone tapping case.
With the investigation gaining pace, Kavitha made explosive remarks, squarely holding Santosh Rao responsible for internal turmoil within the BRS. She alleged that he was the first person to inflict deep damage on the party and its grassroots cadre, leaving leaders and workers deeply hurt.
Kavitha accused Santosh Rao of deliberately creating internal unrest and playing a key role in pushing committed movement leaders away from the party and from KCR. She said the exit of several prominent leaders was not accidental and claimed Santosh Rao systematically weakened the organisation from within.
Taking her attack further, Kavitha alleged that Santosh Rao acted as an informant for Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. She claimed that sensitive political and personal information related to KCR, including details of his private movements, was being shared regularly.
She also expressed surprise over the possibility of Santosh Rao escaping action under the current government. Kavitha questioned why senior BRS leaders like Harish Rao and KTR continued to support him despite what she termed serious allegations.
Kavitha asserted that if the law functions impartially, Santosh Rao would not escape punishment. With his SIT appearance scheduled later today, her remarks have added a sharp political edge to an already sensitive probe.
