Railway Koduru Jana Sena MLA Arava Sridhar has strongly denied the allegations made against him by a married woman, calling them false and politically motivated. The woman accused him of sexually harassing her for the past 1 year and claimed that he spoke to her through explicit video calls. The alleged video has gone viral on social media.
Responding to the controversy, Arava Sridhar said that the video circulating online is a deep fake and part of a deliberate attempt to defame him. He stated that some individuals are spreading false content against him with malicious intent. He made it clear that the allegations have no basis and are completely untrue.
The MLA also pointed out that he served as a sarpanch for three years starting from 2021 and during that period no complaints were ever made against him. He alleged that for the past six months, he has been facing continuous harassment of a similar nature. He revealed that his mother had already filed a police complaint regarding this issue.
Arava Sridhar said that the truth will come out during the investigation and added that he will fight the case legally and prove his innocence in court.
Earlier, his mother also spoke to the media and defended her son. She said he is being targeted intentionally due to his political growth and popularity. She alleged that false accusations are being spread to damage his reputation and confirmed that she has already approached the police regarding the harassment.
