In a rather unexpected and untimely announcement, Jagan communicated that he would be starting Pada Yatra in another year and half from now. This unusually advanced announcement before the actual yatra has drawn a diverse range of political opinions.
Now it is the turn of Jagan’s sister and AP Congress president Sharmila to react on this matter, and she had a very sarcastic and straightforward take on the same.
“What is the need for Jagan to announce his Pada Yatra a year and half in advance? Even then, what would he do if he is given power again? What did you do the first time around? Did he complete YSR’s Jala Yagnam that he promised? Did he impose liquor ban? No, he sold fake liquor for cash and played games with people. Was he even accessible to the public after becoming CM?” Sharmila questioned.
Sharmila then made a very interesting observation as she quoted Abraham Lincoln saying “To know the true nature of a man, give him power.” She used this anecdote to to imply that Jagan had a miserable and failed term as CM and doesn’t deserve another chance.
“Jagan ki power suit kaaledu” were Sharmila’s words in Telugu and she added Jagan needs lose his excessive greed and become a good man if the god and people are to bless him again.
Recently, Vijay Sai Reddy wrote off Jagan’s Pada Yatra saying he can’t become CM again until he keeps his coterie away. And now Sharmila has said Jagan absolutely wasted power the first time and he does not suit for such a position.
Appears that the firmest believers and supporters of Jagan from the first day like Sai Reddy and Sharmila are now vexed with him and writing him off, remarked a political analyst.
