The central government presented the union budget for the year 2026 in the Parliament today and it is being observed with close interest from the Telugu states.
And this contrast, something interesting has happened as finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman has officially announced the arrival of 3 high speed rails to Hyderabad.
Incidentally, the central government announced the launch of 7 new High-Speed rail corridors in Budget 2026.
• Mumbai – Pune
• Pune – Hyderabad
• Hyderabad – Bengaluru
• Hyderabad – Chennai
• Bengaluru – Chennai
• Delhi – Varanasi
• Varanasi – Siliguri
The fact that three out of these seven high speed rails will be based out of Hyderabad is a strong indication of the growing indexing of the urban city in the South Central Railway segment.
Another good thing here for Telugu population is that these high-speed trains would touch Andhra Pradesh as well. Kurnool, Anantapur, Vijayawada, Krishna, Guntur, Tirupati and Chittoor District would be connected through these train passing from Hyderabad. This will provide better connectivity to the Telugu states.
