The position of the Executive Officer at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is one of the most desired positions in the administration. It comes with the administrative duties of the most sacred Hindu shrine Tirumala and generally sees a lot of competition.
Coming to the topic now, the Andhra Pradesh government has sacked the long-standing EO of TTD, Anil Kumar Singhal and appointed a new IAS officer for the position.
Anil Kumar had been serving as the executive officer of the TTD for a while now, and things went wrong after his name came up in the recent SIT investigation on the Tirumala laddu case. It was established that Anil had blindly executed the orders of the previous YCP-appointed board without scrutiny which led to a fiasco.
Subsequently, the government has decided to remove him from the position effective immediately and asked him to report to the GAD on priority.
On that note, it is further reported that the government has appointed Ravi Chandra, the current secretary to the Chief Minister’s Office as the new EO of TTD and he will assume charge shortly.
