That’s The Difference Between Jagan And Babu?

Andhra Pradesh is witnessing two sharply contrasting leaders in former Chief Minister YS Jagan and current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. This contrast is once again evident in their latest methods of operation.

Between 2019 to 2024, there were several attacks from YCP groups on TDP cadres. There were instances when TDP offices were burnt down, and the party supporters were even fat injured or even worse.

During all the fiascos and rampage that was happening, Jagan was very nonchalant and even used to say “Perhaps TDP leaders frustrated our YCP members and that’s why they could’ve attacked.” Jagan gave the implication that there was nothing wrong in YCP mauling TDP.

Cut to now, an extremely contrasting situation is being observed in the case of Chandrababu Naidu in the context of the attacks on Ambati Rambabu and Jogi Ramesh’s houses.

Chandrababu took serious note of these two incidents and instructed the Andhra Pradesh Police department to be extremely cautious of the matter. He instructed the department to take adequate action on the culprits no matter what.

On one hand, Chandrababu advised all the party activists to maintain social order to refrain from public violence. And on the other, he gave full authority to the police department to nab the culprits regardless of party lines.

The kind of emphasis that Chandrababu is placing on public harmony and social justice is to be seen here while it was clearly lacking in the case of Jagan who used to approve YCP’s attacks, remarked a neutral observer.
