Jagan Is BJP’s Benami: Sharmila Fires Again!

Andhra Pradesh Congress president and sister of YSR Congress chief YS Jagan, YS Sharmila, had been relatively silent in recent weeks. However, she has now made a sharp comeback, launching a strong attack on several contemporary leaders, including her brother Jagan.

Reacting to the current financial condition of Andhra Pradesh, Sharmila made pointed and aggressive remarks targeting Jagan’s role in the state’s economic situation.

“On one hand, Andhra Pradesh is struggling because of the loans taken during the tenures of Jagan and N. Chandrababu Naidu. It is understandable if Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan remain aligned with the BJP due to their alliance. But why is Jagan not questioning the BJP over the lack of financial support to the state? Does that not make him Modi’s dattaputrudu? Has Jagan now become the BJP’s benami?” Sharmila questioned.

The AP Congress chief also raised doubts over the stand taken by Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan for not confronting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP on financial allocations to Andhra Pradesh. However, her primary focus remained on Jagan.

In a striking remark, Sharmila referred to Jagan as Modi’s “dattaputrudu,” a phrase Jagan had previously used against Pawan Kalyan. Political observers see this as a sharp reversal of rhetoric. Going a step further, she termed Jagan a “benami” of the BJP, marking one of her strongest criticisms of him so far.
