The finance minister of Andhra Pradesh Payyavula Keshav announced the much expected 2026-27 budget in the assembly today and here’s a look into the crucial numbers that were crunched by the state government.
The capital project of Amaravati got a significant financial allocation by the Andhra Pradesh government as ₹6000 crores were allocated to the same. It is good to see the capital project back in a significant position in the budget after blatant ignorance till 2024.
The Panchayati Raj department which is led by deputy chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also got a significant allocation. The prestigious Thalliki Vandanam project got nearly Rs 10,000 crore allocation.
The Polavaram project was allocated ₹6105 crore in accordance with the financial demands. The government is going to spend heavily on government education, also considering that 32,000 + crore is allocated to the same.
The total budget allocation announced by the government of Andhra Pradesh is Rs 3,32,205 crore which is pretty substantial in volume.

Irrigation Projects – Rs 9,906 crore
Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana – Rs 1,927 crore

Price Stabilisation Fund – Rs 500 crore
