₹50 Lakhs From Pawan’s Pocket, Problem Solved!

Konidela village in Kurnool district, which struggled for years due to severe drinking water shortage, has finally found relief. DCM Pawan Kalyan has once again proved his commitment to people-first governance by stepping forward to solve the long-pending issue; this time he personally used his own funds to resolve it.

For many years, villagers, especially women and the elderly, had to walk long distances daily to fetch drinking water. During summer, the situation became even more difficult. Understanding the people’s pain, he promised to intervene last March, aiming to resolve the issue within a year. Just 11 months later, the problem is solved. Thanks again to the DCM, who has been on a donation spree for the public welfare despite having the official power to allocate those same funds through his department.

Donating ₹50 lakhs from his personal funds, the DCM ensured the construction of a massive 90,000-litre protected drinking water Overhead Tank in Konidela village, stopping administrative and local political issues that could have stalled the process. The project is now complete and supplies safe, clean drinking water to nearly 2,000 villagers.

Local residents expressed happiness and gratitude, stating that this project brought permanent relief to the village. Elders in the village stated that what they had requested for years has finally become a reality.

This initiative clearly reflects Pawan Kalyan’s “Janam First” approach where public welfare comes above politics and administration. Instead of waiting for files to move or budgets to be sanctioned, he personally contributed to ensure the village gets what it deserves.

Political observers say that such direct intervention in solving basic issues like drinking water strengthens public trust in leadership. However, critics point out that these donations for public welfare by the DCM indicate an administrative failure on his part. Despite being in power and holding the Panchayati and Rural Development Ministry, they question why he could not allocate the funds and get the work done quickly through his office.
